Outcome-Focused Leadership Development Training
Goal
Design a 9-month learning roadmap for the position, 4.5 days of facilitated training and exercises, and post-classroom performance experiences that would enable Directors to perform more effectively and experience higher levels of success in a very difficult job role.
Challenges
- The organization had used the existing subject-matter-based training for 9 years
- Designs were driven by the outcomes from the Performance DNA Analysis task, resulting in a very different type of learning experience than the community was previously used to
- There was an unmovable deadline and a tight timeline for the development of the training materials.
Solution
Cognitive Technologies and Beacon Associates used the Performance DNA Training Design Methodology to ensure the development of training that tied directly back to the outcomes. The team designed and developed all modules, post-classroom experiences, handouts, participant guide. Participant feedback was extremely positive and organizational leadership is now in full support of the approach.
