Selection and Implementation of Secure FTP Architecture
Goal:
The goals of the project were to define and implement an SFTP architecture for all data exchange with business partners to ensure compliance with internal and external policies and regulations.
Challenges:
- Many other projects being run by the PMO were dependent upon the implementation of the new FTP software and processes
- Management was hesitant to commit to a particular tool because there was disagreement on the requirements for the new architecture
- Other projects were dependent upon the successful and timely completion of this project.
Solution:
- Work with all levels of management to consolidate and differentiate needs and wants for the new architecture
- Present functional and level of effort (LOE) analysis breakdown of different options for FTP architectures
- Coordinate with the Application Development department to develop a feasible timeline to meet the needs of other, dependent projects.
Cognitive Value Added:
